Highlight of our Summer 2006 Trip, Tim and Susan's Wedding !
Our Summer 2006 trailer trip began with our son Tim's beautiful wedding to Susan at Keystone
Resort near Dillon, Colorado. The wedding was a four day event filled with activities
and getting to know Susan's extended family. From there we continued east to visit our parents and other relatives
in Ohio, then drove north through Wisconsin, North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming before heading
south through Utah and home. This photo shows the Madison, Wisconsin capital building. One of Pat's
favorite sightseeing stops is at a state's capital building to check it out.
This photo was taken in Baraboo, Wisconsin, at the Circus World Museum. We especially liked
the collection of 150 very old circus wagons. This antique wagon was actually painted with real gold.
This huge bison was wandering along the road as we drove through Theodore Roosevelt National
Park in North Dakota. He paid no attention to us, and after we snapped the picture, he dropped and
rolled in the dirt like a dog does.
At Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, we saw Giant Prismatic
Spring on a beautiful sunny day. The beautiful colors are produced by minerals in the water.
Jenny Lake and the Teton Mountains in Grand Tetons National Park...what a fabulous view!
After six weeks of scorching weather all across the northern US, we finally found some relief in cool Wyoming.
Flaming Gorge is in both the southern part of Wyoming
and in northeastern Utah. The cliffs and rocks have been cut out by the
Green River.
